Fellowes Close

In April 2020 we were approached by our friends at St Elizabeth’s Church, Cadge Road, to see if we could help. Due to the lockdown the church could no longer provide their weekly lunch club for the residents of Fellowes Close, the sheltered housing complex on Cadge Road. We were very pleased to be able to help.

Since April 2020, during term time, we have offered weekly meals, everything from roast dinners to spaghetti bolognaise! In December 2020 and again in 2021 the children in school made every resident a Christmas card and we provided a small gift with their Christmas dinner.

We were hopeful we could have begun to meet with the residents in their common room, and invite them into school to help us with our reading, art activities and to share afternoon tea, but due to the ongoing restrictions and risks of Covid19 this hasn’t been able to happen.

We hope some residents may take up our offer of becoming a class pen pal after Christmas.
