Trips

Banham Zoo

In the summer term every child in nursery had the opportunity to join their class on a school visit to Banham Zoo. We were so pleased to be able to offer parents and carers the opportunity to join us on the visit. It was a great day and all the children loved seeing the animals they had been learning about during their theme of animals back in school.

The Castle Project

Since January most of the children who will be moving on to school in September have been participating in a project with Norwich Castle Museum. It has been a fantastic opportunity for the children to explore a new location in Norwich, build their confidence and explore the wonderful exhibits on display. We completed the project this week, when Emma came to visit us in school and supported the children to be curators and set up their own museum in school! Every child received a certificate during the award ceremony and a gift from the museum. We also received a number of free tickets for families to be able to visit the museum together!

Algy's Farm Shop 2022

We took some children to Algy's Farm Shop to gather lots of pumpkins to take back to Nursery for our Pumpkin Carving Stay and Play. We couldn't believe all of the different shapes, sizes and colours of pumpkin there were! Unfortunately, the weather was not very great, and it rained all morning, and the fields were very muddy, but all of the children and parents that attended had a positive outlook and the children had a lovely time. We were very excited to load all the pumpkins into the bus ready to take back to school!

Algy's Farm

We took some children to Algy Farm to gather lots of pumpkins to take back to Nursery for our Pumpkin Carving Stay and Play. We couldn't believe all of the different shapes, sizes and colours of pumpkin there were! The children had to look for pumpkins that were a specific size using the pumpkin measuring tool, and had to check them over to make sure that they were in good condition. We then had to count the pumpkins to ensure we had enough for all of our friends back at nursery. We were very excited to load all the pumpkins into the bus ready to take back to school!

Thrigby Hall Wildlife Gardens

The children from Rabbit and Robin Rooms had an amazing time at Thrigby Hall, learning about the animals and their habitats. Their favourite animals were the tigers and the noisy gibbons! Conor made an animal hunt with picture clues to help us look more closely at the animals' unique colours and patterns. The children were loving the coach journey home until they all fell asleep! Many thanks to the parent helpers who made these trips possible.

Wroxham Barns

Fox Room had a very successful visit to Wroxham Barns. We were able to feed and stroke lots of animals, including sheep, pigs and guinea pigs.We collected eggs laid by the chickens and had fun in the soft play area before having an picnic and heading home in the big bus.
