Yoga Lessons
Each week children in Rabbit and Fox classes have yoga lessons with Zoe. These sessions are linked to the learning in their classrooms. During the theme of insects the children learnt insects poses, the beetle and rolly poly woodlice were definitely a few of their favourites!
Yoga practice helps children manage their emotions. The breathing exercises and relaxation techniques learned from practicing yoga can help children with stress management. Teaching children how to reduce stress in a healthy way is an important life skill that will help them as children and as adults. Yoga also improves children’s emotional regulation, balance, concentration and physical strength.
