Earlham

Nursery School

Additional Curriculum Opportunities

During the year the children at Earlham Nursery School have the chance to take part in many additional experiences, which enhanced the main curriculum opportunities. These include International Mud Day, Water Days, Forest School Fire Days, Beach Day, Science Week, Book Weeks, pumpkin picking and pumpkin carving parents stay and play to name a few.

On Wednesday 12th July we hosted a beach themed day for all of the

Children. We had a visit from the

donkeys  from Great Yarmouth beach, which  the children were able to ride around the garden. We opened the ‘Earlham Nursery
ice-cream parlour’, played in the paddling pools and the sand pit and

took part in lots of beach games. We had a fantastic day! Look below at some of the things we got up too!

International Mud Day

In June we celebrated International Mud Day.
We celebrated  by participating in lots of exciting activities in the garden, including creating mud drawings, making clay faces on the trees, exploring the properties of mud, making mud pies and best of all sliding down the mud slide! Take a look below to see what we got up too!

Water Slide Day

We made the most of the hot weather and had a water day. We had paddling pools, water play and most importantly our water slide! The children were very brave sliding down the slide, they loved splashing in the big puddle!!

Take a look below to see how much fun we all had!

Fire Day

In June the children joined Mary and Carole for fire day. They learnt about fire safety and enjoyed cooking their bread twists, which they had prepared the day before, on the camp fire.

Snow Day

Back in December 2022 the children made the most of the snow fall by having a snow day! All of the children wrapped up warm in their hats, gloves and coats, and enjoyed making snow angles, snowmen and sledging down the big hill!  It was lots of fun. Look at what they got up too below!
